Don't we all? We spend years trying to live up to our parents expectations, then get a job/ go in to higher education /get a career etc. We all live up to expectations by conforming to society. I'm not saying this is all a good thing, it's just unfortunate fact!

I do not feel as much pressure living up to others expectations as I do my own.
It's easier to disregard others because you can't please all the people all the time and can only please some of the people some of the time, but I have to live with "self" and that ole hag won't let me get by what others might. I can't trick her.

Oh yes, all the time! I have to remind myself that I just have to live up to my own expectations and no one else's. It's really no one elses business how we live as long as we don't infringe on other people's rights.

all the time-it's probably stupid because I know I only have to live up to my own expectations but I still worry about it...especially now when I'm doing my final exams and everyone expects me to get really high results :(

hell yeah
like why dont I have a house, proper job, mortgage, salary, car kids holidays to far away places, billions of friends, fame, a skinny size 6 body, flawless skin, boobs to conquor the world with and all the clothes/styles/shoes that are availible to man to own.
Why am I not brainy, clever /intelligent, have an M.A, be working on a PHD, have started my own buisiness.....
I feel in adequate

Yes. Those other "people" are my children and I try really hard the very best I can but I don't feel the pressure yet. LOL!!

I sometimes have trouble living up to my own. I tend not to worry about what other people expect of me. I am who I am, if they don't like it, then tough!

All the time! It gets so annoying because some times you cant quite reach there and when you don't it feels like you have let them down terribly.
