Inarguably, Shrub is the worst president ever - the illegal war, burying us in debt for generations to come, breaking laws left and right, on and on and on. His place in history is secure as a complete failure.
2nd place is another matter - was it Bush #1 for raising taxes & not capping Saddam when he had the chance, or Ike for getting us into VietNam, or Nixon for losing VietNam, or Ford for just being a complete idiot?

Poor Fast Eddie, so typical of the Bushpig mentality - deny, defend, decry those who think otherwise.

What about Andrew Jackson for that lovely act of genocide against the original inhabitants of the US.
Don't be so shortsighted.

i'm not a Bush-43 fan, but i don't think anyone can say he is the worst President ever.
especially since Carter and LBJ came before him.
Carter was viewed as a total wuss on the world stage AND he gave away our controlling interest in the Panama Canal, which may be the single most idiotic thing ever done by a sitting President.
LBJ was the biggest crook ever to be President. people talk about how corrupt Bush-43s administration is - but it can't hold a candle to LBJs.
beyond those two - it is all just subjective babble depending upon what side of the political aisle you sit. republicans all say Clinton & democrats say either Bush-43 or Reagan. for the record - Reagan isn't in the top 40 Worst Presidents!!

James Buchannan was the worst President in U.S history. He was only elected because he was the alternative to putting whoever he ran against in office. He was openly indifferent to the 'plight' of the southern states and was also openly racist. He completely over looked the authorities of Congress, and left such a bad taste in the mouths of the American people, that they went and elected a nobody with a losing track record who was also an open racist who did nothing good for the country except reluctantly write up the Emancipation Proclamation in order to appease the victors of a war upon which his legacy depended. Lincoln was horrible with economics, but he isn't the second worst either. Bush isn't the worst or the second worst, but he is very bad.
Warren Gamiel Harding was probably the second worst President in American history.

In no particular order: a million. James Buchanan 2. William Harrison 3. Andrew Johnson 4. Richard Nixon 5. Warren Harding In 20+ years, George W. could have a sturdy place down right here as properly.

What a bunch of crap, sounds like a little spoiled brat that is not getting your way. Based on these example, JFK should be ranked in the worst because of his failures with Cuba. Or do you not recall the Bay Of Pigs.
You bash Bush Sr for raising taxes, but Clinton raised them even more.
Can't forget Carter with that whole Iranian hostage incident.
Really need to study up on your American history and realize that being republican does not make you bad president, the democrats are not any better.

Actually, although Bush 41 will remain near the bottom of the middle section of Presidents he is not that close to the bottom. I would say that James Buchanan, the previous basement sitter is second worst. Down near the bottom are Taylor, Grant, Harding, Coolege, Fillmore, Pierce and Ben Harrison. (not necessarily in that order)
Nixon, because of his foreign policy and holding down inflation rates in the low half of the middle. Ford was medeocre, and Ike was around the middle.

"Inarguably", huh?
Man, you are such a deep thinker I have to take a break to absorb the depth of your wisdom.
Before I go, though, let us establish your intellectual age. I put it at about 14. Please, correct me if I'm wrong 'cause, while I'm absorbing the depth of your oh-so-remarkable wisdom, I want to be sure I'm taking the right chemicals for that absorbtion to take place.
But, do hang in there, Binky. As you get older you're gonna be AMAZED at what passes for a president in this country and you will realize that My Boy George is just one among many who are somewhat less that perfect and will drive you perfectionists and absolutists absolutely CRAZY! And the rest of us absolutely LOVE watching you characters going crazy.

It was Carter for letting the American embassy be held for over a year and doing nothing but beg people he should have been destroying to let our people go and driving our military and economy into the ground, Or is it Clinton who lied to the supreme court was impeached and did not resigned to spare this country disgrace and the presidency dishonor... I can't decide who is #1

Well, since the present is not history yet. This question is irrelevant. Come back and ask this again in 20 or 30 years when the present is actually history. Good day.
