hi Katie, I'm working part time in a well known frozen food store here in the UK. I've worked there for nearly 7 years now, at the moment I'm on the shop floor, on the tills, stocking up or whatever, in the past i was a supervisor but i stepped down to have more time to spend with my 2 nieces who live with us. I've worked in a few pubs before this and also had a go at relief management, which i loved. what do you do?

I am a vice president of my business. I advise business partners in dealing with problems, such as nutrition, cleanliness, and business utilities: I advise and assist in planning nutritious meals, purchasing and preparing foods, and utilizing commodities from surplus food programs.

I assist the CEO of our business in training junior members, assign and schedule duties to junior members according to their capabilities, and encourages the CEO to take interest in the junior employees by establishing good habits.

I am responsible for managing the resources, perform general chores and personal services, or I may assign them to other members of my business. My business is unique, and my duties vary according to the ages, habits, needs, and incomes of the people in my business.

I am generally responsible for keeping my business running smoothly. I decide what jobs need to be done, and I arrange to have them completed. I also plan and distribute all the necessary items each member of my business needs, whether it be spending money, clothing, food, or equippment.

Maintaining the busines budget is another one of my responsibilities. I take care of bills, banking, tax filing, and other financial matters. I'm responsible for day-to-day expenses, and I sometimes do long-range financial planning. With other business members I make decisions about buying insurance, taking vacations, getting loans, and other important matters. Consumer skills are very important in making these decisions concerning the use of my business's resources.

I am responsible for creating a happy, healthy environment that will foster positive emotional and physical development. In some cases I care for adult members of the business who are ill or infirm. Being informed about minor medical proceedures is important for the well being of my business. I lead seminars in fundamental hygiene principles and train other business members to provide required care.

I am a chauffer for my business & I also have cars serviced, & do minor repairs on cars and small appliances.

Improving the appearance of my work place is another one of my responsibilities. I am the interior decorator for my work place. I paint or paper walls and ceilings, apply floor coverings, or refinish furniture. What I enjoy best about my work place responsiblilities, is taking care of the lawns and gardens. Once in a while I will be a sub-contractor for extensive work on the lawn, like putting in a sprinkler system.

The proper name for my job is called a home-engineer. It is the most demanding job in the world. It is one of the least respected jobs, but it is definitely the most rewarding job under the sun!
