His veto is not delaying the funding, it is denying the funding and putting our troops in harms way because he isn't the sharpest butter knife in the drawer.

Bush vows to veto a bill to set a deadline for troops leaving Iraq which would in turn deny funding to the same troops. Is this supposed to be a comfort to the troops?

A bill ladened with pork to entice others to vote in favor of it. Is this supposed to be a comfort to the anti-war citizens? How about the citizens who detest pork?

Each side seems so determine to appeal to their bases that it is getting almost comical...i mean scary. What is scarier is this is the group of individuals that the citizens of the United States of America voted to have as representatives.

This is too much.

It is nice to know that others can look at this from more than one angle. Yes. I think he will veto the bill, thereby delaying funding and putting the troops safety in jeopardy.

Quite likely.

And Dr. Meth: If the Republicans had any cojones they would have filibustered the bill instead of leaving up to Bush to veto it.

Look moron if the Democrats had any real cojones they would have put up a bill that defunded the war without any pork or other traitor like provisions ie pull out date. Put it to an up or down vote. See what happens..Americans would crucify these coward Democrats if that happened and they know it.

If the ones serving in congress had at least one half of their minds working they would come to terms with the fact you can't put a deadline on a war.

All the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting.
