Okay, So I'm 13 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I have heard my babys heart beat twice. The first time was at my 11 week 5 day mark, and it was beautiful:) I work in a emergency room so I have access to dopplers and such. So, the second time I heard my babys heart beat was at work last week. And It was even more beautiful! My little peanut was jumping all around and what not...It seriously made me cry! Well, heres my problem....or at least I hope not. Last night at work I asked one of the nurses to do it for me again. We couldnt freaking find one! I was soo devastated. I asked the doctor if that was normal, and he said that since I'm still early it could be hidding. I've already have had a misscarrage and I pray everything is alright.....I dont have any cramps or anything and my morning sickness still haunts me every day....has this happend to any of you girls out there?????

You are lucky to have heard it that early. Many women don't. It happens all the time. The baby is small still and may be in a position where it cannot be located. Plus maybe that person just didnt know how to locate it right. Some nurses may not be trained on how too find it or not as experienced with it. There are alot of factors. I am sure everything is fine. I went in today and it took them awhile to find it, but they did :)

Your doctor is right it is normal it is still early and your peanut is still very small however it is also not helpful to worry and be stressed all the time.

Make an appointment with your doctor. Tell them how you feel and ask them to find it. When you see them and they tell you that its normal don't just nod your head and say okay.

Tell them you know that but it doesn't help that you are scared exsactly how you feel. Don't worry about being a pain or anything like that its there job.

No, but since you've got access to that kind of equipment every day, you have more chances to have a problem like that. I'm not surprised if it's "hiding" sometimes, and if you don't have a doppler handy to check it that day, you'd never notice.

I seriously think you're fine. but your gut instinct is the one that matters. If you're worried, get checked out!
