why? nothing left to be patriotic about.
try woody guthrie's "this land is your land"
it was his protest song to irving berlin's "god bless america"
now that song is sang at 7th inning stretches at ball games. what for?
most of these new "patriotic" songs are just redneck country morons. i heard one at work the other day. about a guy coming back from a war. it's a truly ignorant song, to say the least.
