Seriously, I am pretty open minded when it comes to gay people, but I cannot fathom why on earth anyone would want to change their sex. What on earth motivates these people to risk their lives over this?

As a girl who has always been a "tomboy" I can relate to that. Improper hormone levels, improper embryo development, what have you -- I'm sure it can make life a living hell. I am NOT gay and not even contemplating sex change, but I KNOW I am not a FULL female, either. Had things gone a little differently for me, I could see where I might feel compelled to "cross the line" to set things back in balance for myself.

Ok there is an old Freudian theory about women and penis envy. It states that the phallus(Another term for penis) is a symbol of power (Since you have higher social status as a male than a female at that time) and women envy the penis and unconsciously wishes they have one. So a sex change for women to is satisfy their desire for a phallus if you believe this theory. Not sure for men though sorry.

It's because men feel they're women born into a male body and vice versa...
but why men dress up in drag, that is something i just cant get my head around!
