I don't see any hygene issues with it, but it could be pretty dang inconsiderate if there are others needing to use the tub.

Have you tried talking to this person about your concerns?

I used to have to wash my & my 3 kids clothes in the bathtub years ago. Not by choice, it was backbreaking work, but when you don't have any means, you do what you have to do. I left them in the tub overnight to soak, making it easier to clean them the next day. I'd talk to him about doing it after everyone has had a chance to shower first. Or give him a hand & get him to a laundromat.

I must admit, if i have a big load of hand washables, i will do them in the bathtub...although, i live alone and i don't leave them there overnight.

At least he's washing them. LOL
But seriously, he really shouldn't leave them in the tub overnight. That really is inconsiderate, not to mention sloppy.

It's inconsiderate, better than washing them in the river!

Well, as long as they rinse the tub out after using, what's the big deal.
