My mother in laws meatball recipe calls for both cinnamon AND apple sauce...

EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW..

Although I do know some around these parts that put grape jelly in theirs..makes my stomach turn every time.

That one is a bit chancy. I've eaten a lot of strange (to some) foods, but I balk at adding cinnamon to meat. Just doesn't sound that appetizing. But I could be wrong. Heck I'll try anything once. Sometimes twice.

What? Where's your sense of adventure? Actually, that happens to be very similar to one of my old family recipes and it's absolutely delicious! You don't have to have any - that'll just leave more for the rest of us. Here, you can finish off this stale bread while the rest of us pig out on them meatballs!

She should try sprinkling the with anise seeds, to set the whole thing off.

don't. My honey made scrambled eggs once with cinnamon b/c he saw it on a cooking show & they were awful.

sometimes the weirdest ingredients make it taste good. That's what most granparans' cooking secret is. they all add weird stuff but it tastes amazing
