If you haven't read the book, "Do As I Say, Not As I Do: Profiles In Liberal Hypocrisy", run to your bookstore and get a copy.
Liberals seem to have some peculiar brain defect that prevents them from recognizing the incredible hyprocrisy they engage in. One interesting idea mentioned in the book is that Liberals routinely get REWARDED for their hypocritical behavior, while Conservatives almost always get severely punished for theirs. Interesting point, isn't it?
Yes, anything is forgivable, anything is readily explainable if a foreigner does it, but if the U.S. does the very same thing, a Liberal's attitude is completely different. They say they don't hate America, but I think they are such a bunch of self-loathers that the hate leaks out towards the U.S. in general.

Why would you spend your time baiting liberals, rather than finding solutions that work for everyone? Just because they place their priorities on different aspects of the same problems you face, doesn't make them the enemy. Political parties are not sports teams- the only way one can win is if both win. Mindlessly arguing with emotional rhetoric isn't going to change any minds, and you know it. Why waste time dividing the country further?
A Straw Man argument is a type of logical fallacy, used to derail the topic by putting the other side on the defensive. The best you can hope for in employing such a tactic is a tie; because it forces you off topic too. Do you ever want to get anything done, or do you simply enjoy trolling for unproductive arguments?

Firstly, do you know that Iran is a signatory to the Geneva Convention? Secondly, how did they break said convention? And finally, who cares, there is no difference between the two parties, and we'll be stuck with yet another choice for the lesser of two evils.

why should anyone be proud of america's double standard regarding anything? america wants others to do as they are told to do, while america does whatever suits them. their hypocrisy is really quite magnamimous, as well as stupid. when america decides to do as they say, others may begin to listen, but it won't be happening under bush, or any other politician in washington, including conservatives.

I don't approve of any violations of the Geneva Convention, what I do disapprove of is stooping to their level and violating it ourselves.
