i think that approach would cause them to react badly and let your car tyres down or break your windows or summat similar! i know quite a few of the young uns round our area so if they were bothering me i would just go talk to them about it and ask them politely to stop, if you show them you are giving them respect you usually find you do get it back ! not all young uns are bad!!

Yes I would, but there's a way to do it.
You catch more flies with honey and most kids will respond to the nice approach that lets them know in no uncertain terms that what they are doing is out of order.
They would like nothing more than to have a go at you and call you a Victor Meldrew given half a chance. That's half the fun of it for them. Going at them hammer and tongs just gets there backs up so you play on the fact that they have a conscience.... and most do you know. It's never failed me yet.
Mind you, I wouldn't tackle a kid wielding a weapon at close range. That's just asking for it. They're well gone if they're that bad.

Yes! I believe as an adult we have the right to tell a child when they are doing something wrong. Children should learn that they need behave even when their parents are not around!

It would depend on what they were doing, but yes I have been known to correct a child. I would hope that if my child was actling like a fool a person would correct them.
But I would never correct o child when their parent is around that is their responsbility
