Whoever is getting Young and Utley. It is hard to give up a top closer but Utley is a top 10 fantasy producer and far and away the top fantasy 2nd baseman....a huge advantage for whoever has him. Young is a very good pitcher with very nice K/IP (164 K in 179 innings) along with a 3.46 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. He also has the advantage of Petco park for half his starts and a solid D behind him so the numbers likely stay pretty close to last years. Wang might win more but wont strike out anyone (76 K in 219 innings...another concern, that is a lot of innings). Iguchi is an average fantasy producer and really should be counted on only as a backup. Rivera is still among the best closers in the game but RPs can be had once the season starts (last year who heard of Putz, Saito, Otsuka or Gonzalez before the regular season?). There are some open closer jobs this spring as well.
Young and Utley just have way more upside than the others (of course getting rid of Rivera could hurt) but Yuong should be better overall than Wang (fantasy wise...thats all that matters with this question....not who plays on what team) and Utley is just dominant....period!

Young and Utley are better

Utley is so much better than any other player at 2nd base and Chris Young is a more than serviceable pitcher who should put up better numbers than Wang this year

While Rivera is usually a solid closer - he is getting older and the Yanks staff is not that great this year which could lead to a lot of blow outs by either the Yanks or the other team... and although Wang put up some solid numbers last year, he didn't strike out too many batters which means the ball was put into play a lot which can be a bad thing when balls start to find holes in the infield... look for his ERA and WHIP to jump a little higher this year... and as a far as Iguchi goes - once you have Utley he becomes disposable anyways...

This is a tough one. Rivera is a proven closer, but is not getting any younger. Wang can win but strikes no one out. it does help he's on the Yankees. Iguchi is a solid player with a little pop and will get some SB's.

Young has proved he continue to pitch well. All he has to do is do it. Utley is a great player and is second to none at his position, especially that theres not much out there for fantasy players to really pick once he's gone in the first round.

I think whoever is getting Rivera, Iguchi and Wang are getting a slightly better deal, only because they'll be gaining a closer and still have a solid replacement for Utley in Iguchi.

depends on your needs, but i would say that riveria and wang is too good to give up even for utley. but reall depends on your other players.
