I am currently a GSM of a large auto dealership. My hours are not bad for this type of work but I am getting bored with it. My wife and I are wanting some more adventure in our lives but we can not afford to give up a steady income. My question it this, from someone who is in the timeshare industry can you tell me what it is like? The general commision scale, hours invovled job satisfaction from yourself and others best companies to work for ect? And any other information would be great! Websites I can get more from you name, we are taking our time and approaching this with care. I am not worried about the ability to sale so taking that out of the equation give me the low down! :)

It's actually similar to auto sales in a number of ways. The competition is tough, & you have to watch your back to protect sales YOU have developed from being grabbed by some opportunist w no scrupples. There are some stiff quotas & time expectations, but you are familiar w that also.

Dealing w shoppers & folks enticed by a free weekend deal , etc are also obstacles to overcome. Sell the deal , secure the financing, & sell the financing & you are golden.

Actual commission levels will vary based on the region , & the ammenities offered at the property you are marketing. There are also bonuses for selling above market (kind of like selling at sticker)

Pick an area you wish to reside near & you have the skillset already in place!!

Good Luck!
