Yes about 3 years ago. I was fired from my job, and had a wreck a month later and rolled my Jeep and was in terrible pain. It was awful. But everything happens for a reason and I have a great job. I even sent my old boss a thank you note not long ago! HA!!

Depression is something I've dealt with for most of my life. I attempted suicide when I was 11 years old, and I've a couple other periods in my life when I was suicidal. I've been on antidepressants and been through counselling. For the past 5 years, I've not needed prescription meds. When I feel my depression creeping in where I can't handle it, I'm able to manage with St. Johns Wort. Depression is a very difficult thing to deal with.

Yes, it ended about a year ago, it lasted about 7 months. I started to get out of the funk by getting a new job, moving, and doing some real soul searching. It is difficult to get out of being depressed, but I found the only person who can change your life is you. If you want to spend your time in bed crying and not eating, it does not hurt anyone other than yourself, and it is just a waste of your time. I did not go to any counseling, but I did read a lot of self help books.

Of course. I'm sure that everyone has been at one time or another. It's how you cope with it that makes the difference. Some people that experience depression can't seem to get through a routine for being consumed with it. Others handle it well enough that they over it relatively quick and easy.

I was depressed at most times of my life, but now I'm more or less fine (well I'm suffering dysthemia--that's mild depression--but that's as good as it gets). And I'm looking forward to my 30th year.

No. I just dont things or people get me down. You've gotta keep your head up and wake up and clap your hands in the morning and say "this is going to be a great day". Works every time.
