Bulls should be third in the east....if it wasn't for those dumb rules about division leaders getting the top four spots

i think the Bulls have a reasonable chance.

they've made it to the playoffs the last couple years so the younger guys have experience playing on the big stage. with a team like the bulls, they do have a chance to beat any team in the east in a 7 game series. only thing that would hurt their chances is bench depth and bench scoring, especially if they come up against a deep team.

the team has solid defenders in Wallace, Brown, Noccioni and Thomas. so they can defend down low and on the perimeter. they also have some decent offensive options in Deng, Hinrich and Gordon.

the team lacks a post game so it will live and die with the shooters. if the shooters are cold....the team is in trouble. they'll have to be a scrappy defensive game to get some hustle points.

the team's make up makes them better defensively then last year. so they have a chance. what helps them a lot is that they have 2 solid veteran post defenders that could possibly alleviate some of the damage if they were playing against the Pistons.

ultimately its going to come down to the shooters, and bench contributions. which Ben Gordon will turn up to the game? will Noccioni be good to go for the playoffs?

time will tell.

Hey-as long as the shooters are hot-they will go all the way. They rely quite a bit on the jump shot because of a lack of post presence. Right now, Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich are on fire.

They should get home court in the first round, most likely vs. the Raptors. They should be able to improve their D on Chris Bosh. Thy've won 2/3 from the Raptors this year and have a game vs. them in Toronto on April 8th.

Wallace and PJ Brown should be able to negate Bosh and Barganini enough so that we can control the tempo and dictate the paint. I have a feeling that Ben Wallace is going to go nuts when the playoffs come. Why? He's the leader on a real young team and he's got to show them the way during the big games.

I think we match up well vs. all of the teams. I think Washington and Cleveland give difficulties with James and Areans, but Deng should cover those guys and Deng is on a roll right now too. We match up well with Detroit and always have for the past few years. We're like a less famous version of the Pistons-but we're gona make some noise!!!!!

Go Bulls!!!

I agree with you on the dumb playoffs ranking. Makes no damn sense. And, I think they should be #2, 'cause they should have beat the Cavs yesterday! What happened, Ben?

Anyways, I feel the Bulls can give any team a run for their money. They can bang with the best of them, and this season has proven that to many doubters. Starting with Miami on their ring night, the Bulls pooped on them. They beat almost all contendors in the league at least one. I think they have a chance to go all the way, but I doubt that this year.

Bulls have a deep young team, I think they have a legitimate chance of winning the east...I'm a Cavs fan, but I think that series would go seven games, it could go either way!....Pistons are the favorites, but their not that much better than the Cavs or Bulls, and you never know when injuries could occur, and Rasheed will probally miss a game or two with Technicals as many as he gets....Wizards also could give a team alot of promblems..If agent 0 catch fire...but thats not likely to happen, unless they can find a way to finish out games!

Chances are very good. Defense will take you far in the playoffs and Detroit doesn't play it as good as they used to and Cleveland doesn't do it well at all. We are still the best defensively in the East holding opponents to 43% shooting from the floor, 34% from the 3pt line.

Our problem will be on offense. With no low post scorer, defenses will extend out to our shooters so we'll have to create plenty of motion and get attempts going towards the baskets to increase number of attempts at the line, and limit our jump shots per game. 65% of our FG attempts are jump shots, so teams will force us to keep shooting jumpers.

Detroit and Cleveland are beatable, but for me Miami will be a tough out in the 2nd round. I mentioned Miami because Cleveland is still in reach for 2nd spot in the East with us only 1.5 games behind, and Miami could be a possible 2nd round opponent after beating Washington. Additionally, Shaq is playing out of his mind, but with no D-Wade, and limited perimeter players Miami are also beatable.

Most importantly Scott Skiles will have to make the right adjustments from game to game. Something he didn't do very well last season.

YES, THE BULLS HAVE CHANCE. A TEAM THAT WINS ITS DIVISION SHOULD BE RANKED HIGHER.
