There is a good article here:

http://wholehealthmd.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=289953EC31774581A350521638E25DDF&nm=Healing+Centers&type=AWHN_HealingCenters&mod=Home&tier=4&id=3DAE87310A6E41A0AE9217AFBF12B932

I second hypnosis and acupuncture, also extra vitamin C. The article recommends Kava but I would advise caution; inferior products have been linked to liver damage.

If you're comfortable with a drug, I've heard great things about Chantix.

Two things that are supposed to suppress the urge for nicotine - licorice and spearmint tea. They do make smoking awful but if you aren't 100% adament that you really do want to quit, it won't work because you will get off of them to enjoy a cigarette. Good Luck!

They didn't work for me ... I tried "Cig-arrest".

I did quit throught: Group hypnosis + Daily hypnosis tapes (21 days) + accupressure + praying. I had no withdrawls and only smoke cigars when I drink. It's been over a year.

I have no scientific evidence to prove this, but when I drank green tea mixed with black tea and it curbed my need for a cigarette. It actually made me decide to quit. Plus, green tea boosts your metabolism and decreases your appetite which helps out in not gaining weight while you are quitting.

I'm sure there are, but I don't know of any offhand. Try health food stores and random vitamin/medicinal stores and ask around.

Or you try going online, if you like.
