Every woman have heard from their doctors of from their friends that around the middle of your cycle, 14 days, you are most likely to get preggo. Who here have gotten preggo way before the 14th day or way after. Who have proven that statement a total lie?

It's not necessarily mid-cycle. For most people, it's ten to sixteen days before menstruation. If someone had a 21 day cycle, that means it could be as early as day 5 (not mid-cycle at all) or as late as day 11 (around mid-cycle.) For someone with a 37 day cycle, that means somewhere between day 21 and day 27-certainly not mid cycle. My cycle was around 35 days. When I got pregnant, I ovulated on day 25-that's about a week after mid-cycle.

You can find out more about your menstrual cycle, and when you can expect to ovulate from the website fertilityfriend.com, or the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. You may want to use OPKs or chart your fertility signs to know about your own cycle.

I haven't gotten preggo yet, but we try mostly during the middle of the cycle for that reason. Things I have seen online say that is the norm for most women, but not all. The best way to figure out when you're ovulating is with an OPK (ovulation predictor kit).

Research and study show that MOST (not all) females ovulate mid-way through their cycles. Usually women with 28 day cycles ovulate about day 14 and women with 30 day cycles ovulate about day 15, and so on. However, I do have a friend who got pregnant the day after her period was over and that was only day 7 of her cycle. Not all women ovulate mid-way through their cycle, so women ovulate at random times. There is always a chance of pregnancy when having unprotected sex.

Well, my fertility days are supposed to be at an average of the 3rd week of the month. My son (18 months old) was concevied on the Dec 10. LOL. Less than a week after I finished my period. But he was also conceived with a condom, and 1 month after going off the Depo so he was a BIG surprise. lol. Hope this has helped.

The body does what the body wants. It ovulates on it's own schedule. Doctors can only study the statistics and give you averages. That leaves a lot of women running on different schedules.
