The only explanation I have received for not having a period for extended periods of time and not being pregnant is this "sometimes the body just forgets what it's doing and stops for awhile". I've been like this for about six years now..down to about one period a year, but I've had tons of tests and everything is normal. Best of luck to you

The short answer is yes. Anything is possible but not likely. If you were pregnant you would most likely have a tubal pregnancy and the pain would let you know something was going on.
If you have skipped your period it is something that you need to check out. Stress, weight gain or loss can play into things being a little strange. You didn't mention your age so I am not sure if menopause is a factor. My doctor said that you can start the process as early as 35 depending on when you got your period for the first time.
My advice would be to call your doctor and ask to speak to the nurse. She/he would be the best resource to find out if you need to be seen by the doctor.
Good luck and I hope that you get to feeling better!

By now a pregnancy test SHOULD be positive. You should make an appointment with the doctor to get a blood test. If it's negative for pregnancy, the doctor will want to get to the bottom of the reason why your period is absent.

one of my friends missed her Feb 6 period, and found out she was pregnant on March 1. So I dont think its too early to test.
I went through a phase where I had neg tests every month that my period came late. Turned out, my cycle just changed on its own. instead of coming every 28-30 days, it was coming ever 6 weeks. Drove me crazy. Every month I had blood tests to confirm, and all were neg.

if you have done the test 2 weeks after you have been late then i would say you are not pregnant....i assume by tubal you mean that you have had your tubes tied....although this is a permanent sterilisation...a new vein can develop from the ovary to the uterus to allow travel of the ovum(egg)...i recently had the same procedure and my gyno had said that it is possible for this to happen....it doesnt happen very often but there is a possibility....

Are you on the pill or any other medication atm? It could affect it?
I'm not too sure the only thing I could suggest is to get it done professionaly at the doctors? See your GP It would be the easiest thing and quick way to know and find out!
Good luck.

It was my understanding after having your tubes tied, there was a short window where you could get pregnant. If it has been over two years, I don't see how it could be.
You really should see a doctor and have a real test done.

I would suggest you to go get a blood pregnancy test all pregnancies aren't detected by the urine tests because all women don't have the hormone for the urine test.
