Actually, you don't have to be in Internet Explorer to get to My Computer. If you just left click on the START icon in the bottom left of your screen, a menu will come up. On that menu are the words My Computer. Just left click on those words, and away you go. If you ARE in Internet Explorer, and don't want to click on START, minimize the screen (the little dash in the top right of your screen), and you should see your Desktop (the screen with all the icons on it). Somewhere on that screen, there should be an icon for My Computer. If there is no My Computer icon, follow the instructions above to My Computer, and then right click on the words My Computer. A menu will appear. Go to the words SHOW ON DESKTOP, and left click on those words . A check mark should appear next to SHOW ON DESKTOP. Close everything and then go back to your Desktop to see if the icon is there. Good luck.

drop the explorer window so you can see the desktop at the same time, click on "my computer" and drag it to the links bar in your open internet explorer window, now when you are viewing the web....if you click the link you just created in the links bar, it will take you to "my computer"

I have no idea why you would want do to that, but all you have to do is type in the path you are trying to reach in the Address toolbar. For example :
c:\
would have your browser show the files on your hard drive from the C:\ starting point.
