I'm planning on switching to a new job but I currently have about 2 weeks of vacation time built up. According to my employee hand book, the company is not going to pay me those hours unless required by law. My question is; Is Florida one of those states where employers have to pay employees their vacation pay no matter what?

If you accrue the time than you have EARNED the time. Since it is earnings it needs to be paid.

I work in Florida and if you take time off YOU pay them a percent of your wage for time missed.
