If you have the power settings (Contol Panel) set to let things go into power save mode, it should be ok.

If however, you have the pc set where the screen and drive don't power down, you could burn your screen and wear out the drive.

It's actually better for pc's to have the power left on when you have the settings correct. Less voltage spikes to the system.
