It would have to be either the SEC or PAC 10.

Both had three Sweet 16 teams.

PAC 10 had two Elite 8 teams.

Guess we'll know after UCLA plays Florida.

Winner get bragging rights.

This is a prime example of the East Coast bias. The real answer here is the Pac-10 conference. They placed six teams in the tournament (UCLA, Oregon, Southern Cal, Washington State, Arizona, Stanford). Three of those reached the Sweet 16, and UCLA is in the Final Four poised to make a title run. Of the other four teams in the conference, only Oregon State and Arizona State were "bottom-feeders."

In the interest of full disclosure, one of the reasons the Pac-10 gets no respect is that they are in bed with Fox Sports Net. ESPN has offered to carry Pac-10 conference games, but the Pac-10's commissioner is stupid and refuses to get national coverage.

And what's with the guy saying, "The SEC is the best at every sport?" That's just crazy talk.

For those who say the ACC, their teams didn't last very long. The PAC 10 had their two best teams still compeating in the final 8, only conferance with two teams undefeated. Had Porter not gone stone cold, Oregon and UCLA would be playing on Saturday. As it is the PAC 10, (UCLA), will defeat the SEC, (Florida), come Saturday, and we know that there aren't any more ACC teams still playing.

I go to an ACC school and I thought all year that it was the ACC but the tournament proved me very wrong. Now I would have to say the PAC-10 or SEC, with the ACC in third or fourth.

top to bottom, the best conference was the acc...they had ten teams make the postseason and put 8 into the ncaa tournament...the sec had a very weak west division which waters down the value of their very strong east division, and the pac-10 has more bottom feeders and less top-quality teams than the acc

Dick Vitale would say the ACC. I'd say the Big East.
