I am trying to use my laptop with a Sharp XR-20 projector, but it doesn't seem to work.?

I connected the extenal video cable to the projector and the output plug in the back of my Dell. The monitor turns on but says no signal. What settings do I have to change in my laptop to get it to display through the projector.

Usually theres a easy way to switch this on the keyboard. On my IBM it's , Dells are like that too.

Look at your Function keys and see if you see print in color (like blue). That would indicate you use the function key to select.
