Are you annoyed by her constant questioning? Or do you feel she is justified in asking? Does she constantly ask you unpleasant questions? If you are put off by her constant questioning....then find another new friend to enjoy the company of and forget her.
Otherwise....if you really do want her friendship, and...
If you have no excuse for not calling, it obviously is bothering you or you would not have brought it up here. I would suggest you go ahead and call your friend and try to renew your friendship once again if it is important to you. she will likely be pleased to hear from you again.
But remember...it all depends upon you and what you really want out of this. The choice is truly your own.

She hasn't called either so you don't owe anyone an excuse. If she asks, you can tell her you don't have an excuse, but you missed her and decided to call her because it's been too long. If she doesn't appreciate your honesty, she's probably not someone to be close friends with.

Just tell her the truth. I have a friend like that too. I mean most people understand that people are busy and sometimes just don't feel like talking to people when they are, but there are those few that just don't get it! If she is one of those jealous friends, just tell her that you have other things going on and that it isn't anything against her, but that you will get back to her when you get time :) Hope i helped rather than confused you!

Ring her now. The longer you leave it and think about it, the harder it will get. Just say that you have been really busy and that you wanted to call now before it became 'years'!
When I have something a bit 'ropey' to get completed, I always think 'In ten minutes, all this will be over and I will be my normal self again' And you will be! You will feel better for it!

better to call now, than wait till next month and feel the need to explain a 2 month gap. If she starts on the why's...tell her it's just time slipping by you faster than you realized. It happens.

Truth.
Always the truth.
It builds friendships and shows who's worthy of your friendship.
If she accepts that she's not the most important thing, then she's a good friend.
If not it's no big loss.

say that u have been busy with an important buisness with school, work, etc. I've accidently have done that to one of my friends before. Believe me, once you call her/him and u spark up a conversation, everything will be forgotten. P.S. get her email address.
