People do get mad at those for being bluntly honest, but usually it only lasts for a few seconds or minutes. After the steam is gone I'm sure they appreciate the honesty so they can fix whatever the problem was in the first place!! I guess it all really depends on the person, but mostly I get thanked when I'm blunt with people. Just dont be so harsh when you're being blunt, soften up the edges just a little bit and you wont have to worry about people getting mad at your honesty!!

Yep regardless of what the other person may say (i.e. it doesn't bother me) sometimes the truth hurts on any situation in life whether it is simon saying "that was absolutely horrible" or your girlfriend saying "your feet stink".
People tend to ask questions they do not want the answer 2 but when the truth is out the other person may regret asking but in the end truth is better

Simon is being bluntly honest. He is rude. His way would be to go to the US hockey team that just won the gold in 1980 and say something like: You missed four opportunities, your outfits suck and you need to keep your chin up. They had just won against all odds. He is rude, not honest.

Me and Simon are both the same zodiac sign. We're both Libras and I would have to say that yes people do get mad at me for my blunt honesty.

Yes, especially my husband. He says I sound mean and rude, but I am just extremely honest. I think it is a good quality in a person. I wouldn't want to be lied to. If you dont want my 100% honest answer, then dont ask me any questions!

Hahaha! I am one of those people. It really depends on how you say it. If your really mean and yell....then yes! I do that sometimes...but my friends always ask me questions b/c they want to know the truth. They don't have a problem with it but I think they know that I expect them to be the same with me.

Yes sometimes, I need to work on my people skills - especially my husband - no matter how hard that may be at times when I just want to tell it like it is!

Depends on the person.

If they want to be childish on the answer that they were given, then that question shouldn't have been asked, or the action committed.

In my case, none have been mad at me, for they know that if they don't want my honest answer then don't ask.

Sometimes it is better to be tactful and avoid total honesty. Like when the wife asks if the dress she is wearing makes her look fat. How can you answer that one?
