My son has inherited land that is no where near where we live, though it is in the same state. I was wondering if we could sell it on his behalf since we cant afford upkeep or taxes, and we will no doubt never be able to use it on a regular basis. W're in PA if that is relevant and its used as a hunting cabin.

Absolutely! How did your son get the property anyways? Does anyone know that he is a minor? You can sell it anytime!

You cannot legally sell anything that has a title and not in your name, unless given written permission by the owner. As stated, Power of Attorney.

How old is your son? Why would you be selling it on his behalf? You can do so if you have a power of attorney that he has signed, provided that he is of legal age to do so.

Ask an attorney in the state where you live.

I am going to assume he is over 18.

In that case the answer is NO, unless you have POA for him.
