Okay so i have a really heavy and long period usually and i was wondering if i could get birth control withou visiting a obgyn and if so where?Because i know that birth control shortens your periods and also lightens them.I'm a younger girl and not sexually active so i'm not looking for birth control just shorter and lighter periods.

well you can go to the health department and they will give you birth control..but you gotta know that it can mess your periods up..you can have them at any time of the month so u never know when your going to start..but that was just with me..your hormones sure do change too..just the all the facts before going on the pill...

No matter where you go, You are going to have to be checked if that's what you are worried about. Go to a local health unit, you can get it there without a parents permission. Good Luck.
