Hold the sealed envelope over a steaming kettle with kitchen tongs. Loosen the flap with a dinner knife. Quickly remove the contents, lay the envelope flat on the counter (flap open, glue side down), and put a heavy book on top to flatten it. After 15 minutes or so, remove the book and the envelope should be ready to go again. If the flap sticks to the counter the first time you try this, next time put a paper towel down first. Use a glue stick to stick the flap down again.

Just rip open the envelope and write the address on one of your own envelopes. Works just as well. I gave up trying to open sealed envelopes to check the contents long ago and I just send the bills in my envelope if I had a problem.

Rip the envelope open and transfer the bill to a new envelope. Hand write the address on the new envelope. The bill companies don't care what envelope the bill gets to them in, just that it gets there.

When I want to be nosy, I steam my open and then put a little clear glue on. Use a steam kettle and hold it over where the steam comes out. But not to close it will get wet.

Bad about putting bills in wrong envelopes? Sounds like you're GOOD at reading other peoples mail but bad at hiding it.

Cut the envelope with a knife and then tape it shut. I do this all the time.

Use a letter opener and make the corrections, seal it
back w/tape and send it on it's way.

All of us have done/will do this at one time or another.
