I am both vegetarian and Buddhist, and the way I felt about it..... I asked my teacher to order one less pig and that I would work with another group. That way it didn't distract from anyone's learning experience, but there was no need for the animal to be made available just for me to work on.

The actual dissection part of it is no big deal. It might seem kind of weird to you at first, but once inside, you should quickly get over it. Especially if you already eat meat. I mean if you can cook it and put it in your mouth....

Ok when dissecting there is no feeling in it
It is all about Science and the learning process unless you're a vegetarian then I would ask the teacher if on humanitarian grounds you be excused from doing this

well, at first i was a bit grossed out because they'd come in these plastic bags all piled on top of each other and i thought i wouldn't be able to go through with it. I felt really sorry for them. but once i opened them up it wasn't that bad. the smell is gross, but other than that it wasn't that bad.
