Viagra is a brand name and most if not all the drugs claiming to be Viagra like are just junk.
It is not unsafe, and it has been done, though it has no licence. It was used in a study to increase uterine blood flow in IVF treatment. It was also found in a small study of depressed women on SSRIs to reverse sexual dysfunction. Pfizer is currently conducting clinical trials of Viagra in women in a more general study to look at its effects on female sexual dysfunction.
