What is happening to the superpowers?

Germany shut out at home by Denmark. England held without a goal through the first half by Andorra. France the same fate against Austria. Meanwhile Israel tallies 4 goals. Is the rest of the world catching up to the traditional superpowers?

I think in those cases the superpowers are searching for the right player by giving each candidate a chance in a game. On the other hand the underdog team knows they are playing a superpower and put their best team out to try and snag a win. In these cases they got one, but when it really matters they still won't have a chance against a superpowers A team.
