She is a size 11 in juniors, I cannot find any place in Kansas that can help her. She is a wounderful young lady that has wonderful grade has only missed 2 days of school in the last 11 years. Her mom came on some real hard times and will not be able to afford one. I took her to the mall and we looked around but they are SO high in price. We even went to the Goodwill and other used clothing stores but they were all TOO small for her. I cannot afford to buy her one, but if I could you can bet on it I would.
I will just hate for her to miss her prom, just because she cannot afford a prom dress.
If you know of anyone that can help we would love to hear from you!

suzy shier has the best dresses and all their dresses are 35 dollars and higher. no higher than 80 dollars for sure. They may not be really fancy but they do have really nice black dresses or red ones that do some gathering in places to make it a little fancier.

Also, since a lot of stores have dresses because they know there's summer prom. Try going in june instead because thats when they decide to try to get rid of their dresses for a cheaper price.

You could even just buy a simple dress and fix it up with cute accessories such as, butterflys, pearls, ect.

I know there are places where people donate their old prom dresses. Try searching for "donate prom dresses" then contact them to see how you can receive one from them. If that doesn't work try local churches, they take up money (anonymously) to help people in need and I'm sure that includes good teens who might not get to experience a milestone in life because she and her family are having hard times.

I know there are organizations that collect prom dresses for girls who can't afford them...I just don't know how to find out if there's one in your area..They usually call themselves "Cinderella's Closet", maybe you can do a little investigating...Did you look for a used one on ebay?

Also, they've got the princess foundation. Search for it online. It's main purpose is to buy grls who can't afford dresses for prom. They had a fashion show last month here in (SF,CA.)

That is sad to hear, but its good to see that you are helping her. Prom dresses are very expensive...in the 200 to 300 dollar range so these are very very cheap. I dont know you're budget, but these are just some ideas.
