What is it that actually makes you nauseous and sick?

Is it too much hormaones that make you throw up? It seems i only get nauseous after eating?

Oh wow, when I was preg I would throw up from almost anything. The smell of cigarettes, fast food, garlic, strong perfume, body odor, anything greasy, and some household cleaners lol. I hated that.
Even if eating makes you sick, make sure you're still doing it, it's good for you :)
I found that saltines didn't help me so much, but drinking a lot of water, small sips of soda, and different breathing techniques (especially shallow breathing when I started to feel nauseous) helped me a lot.

It is a change in the hormone levels in your body that makes you sick at the beginning of pregnancy. When you are in your first trimester, you placenta is not big enough to produce all of the hormones needed to sustain your pregnancy, so the other glands in your body have to pick up the slack. This causes a higher amount of pregnancy hormones in other areas of your body. By the end of your first trimester, the placenta has grown and takes over the production of pregnancy hormones on its own, so less of them are out in the other areas of your body, which is why morning sickness usually only happens in the first trimester. For women who suffer from morning sickness their whole pregnancy, it is because they are particularly sensitive to any level of these hormones. Just remember, that is rare and it should pass soon.
