When I had my second child, I bled for six weeks and then, because I was nursing, didn't get another period till my milk gave out when he was about seven months old.

You should've started the minute you gave birth and it can last up to 6 weeks after you deliver your baby.

If you havent' had a period since you had your baby I would be concerned and call your dr and let them know.

I've had three children and bled for weeks after each of them. I find it odd that you didn't. I didn't get my normal period for at least 5-6 months after I gave birth. But, don't forget that flowing for 4-6 weeks after birth was part of that time.

I got my period 6 weeks after giving birth. Some get their period right away, some take longer. All depends, everybody is different.

if you are nursing it could be awhile--mine was usually right at that 6 weeks mark--right after you post-delivery check up.
