when i hook it to my tv via s-video everything shows up right in both, but whe i play a movie it only shows on my laptop, how do i get it on my tv screen?

yes i see everything icons and taskbar in both tv and laptop, is only when i play a movie, it only shows on the laptop, i can stil see the media player with its controls and everythin on my tv but the screen is blank

Like I mentioned before, we need to know if you have Icons and a task bar on both the television and the laptop.
The reason I asked this the first time you asked this question is because we need to know if you have it set to "extend my desktop" or not.
