I've wondered the same thing...why so many beauty products aimed at making women feel unattractive if they arn't 20 anymore? I mean I'm only 19 and I feel offended by the stigma that women can't age gracefully anymore. If you take care of your body why does it matter if you have wrinkles here or there? I can't tell you when and if ever it will end...but I certainly wish it were considered beautiful to be natual, healthy, and unigue.

I personally think that it'll pass just like so many other things have. I also believe there a variety of reasons of why we are.All the ones you said and more. I think another big reason is because some many want to be in total control and it's impossible. So instead the try to control what the look like and how they dress as way of feeling in control. I personally can't wait till the stick thin phase passes, and the current fashion. I know sound like an old maid, it's just I think young people are getting a skewed view of what beauty really is. I think people miss out on a lot trying to be perfect or forever young. I can't wait until people can tell I'm not a kid anymore.well there"s my two cents.

nope, it's never going to end. You see ppl people, have the an unquenching urge to always be in the spot light. Most of them aren't very self confident so they add to themselves thinking that it will build their confidence. It is also the case that ppl are easily influenced thus, they are easily carried away by the media so they always want to fall in the trend of what's hot and what's not... they always strive for popularity or even to get a mare compliment about themselves because they don't believe in themselves so they want to hear it from others so they can be reassured.

I think its because everyone gets sucked in to all the "hollywood" glamour. I think age is beauty in itself. Just because you have some wrinkles dont mean you aint beautiful,I think its a sign of life and living. My nana died about 13 years ago and I was only 5 and shes was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen!
