i just got 6 fish for a 10 gallon tank. everything is new and the water was run through a couple days before i got them by the filter. i even got conditioning salt for the fish. a few of them chase each other around and kind of bite each other and the one that is being chased doesn't seem to like it...also a few of them are also doing this wierd thing like kind of streching....its hard to explain but they hold their tail to the side and they kind of vibrate and they do this for a few seconds every couple minutes. whats wrong with my fish??

Knowing the types of your fish would really help here, but all of that sounds like typical fish behavior really. The ones doing the chasing may be a bit more agrressive than the others and just becoming the dominant fishes in the tank. They may or may not stop depending on what they are.

The other stuff you describe is often also associated with dominance and territorial desputes.

You have quite a few fish for a new tank. Be ready to start checking your ammonia in the next few days and changing water often to keep the ammonia down until the bacteria grows enough to control it. Here's a link that explains what you should expect in your tank over the next few weeks and the details of how to handle it

Welcome to the hobby and best of luck!

What kind of fish you have would really help explaining this. If they are an aggressive breed of fish, chasing each other around staking out territory is perfectly normal, and won't ever change, they always fight for their space. The vibrating thing sounds like you probably have a pair mating. If you have a few convicts in there, you definitely have fish mating, that's all they do, fight and mate. Also 6 fish in a ten gallon tank, unless they are guppies or something similar, is quite a bit, you should allow something like a gallon of water per inch of fish, although I'm not positive that amount is exact.

I relatively have a pond with catfish and perch. They dont arise and eat for the time of dec, jan, feb and march. no longer something relatively takes place. April they comes alife ingesting the floating catfish nutrition. purely dont overfeed them. The water will become too organic and organic and algas start to take over the pond. you like a sturdy grant of oxygen to the pond. I spray it down with a backyard hose permantly set up. purely letting it choose for days. must be sprayed from above so the water can %. up the oxygen from the air in the previous hitting the water. properly it particularly is a few thing to think of approximately.
