As far as I know, land lines don't increase you likelihood of getting brain cancer the way cell phones do. So, while I really do like the convenience of cell phones, at home I certainly prefer to use my cordless land line.

I have a home phone only to phone my family because we don't have the same subscriber and they get free incoming minutes and on my home phone I can call and talk for as long as I want and it doesn't cost me any extra, but I have my best friend and other friends on Verizon and we talk a-lot so the cell comes in very handy. If I had to give one up it would definitely be the home phone, because the cell is mobile it goes with me.
