Depending on the risk factors... If I was in better shape I would ride a bike. It's embarrassing when people know how close you live to work and you drive.
OMG - I live about 1 mile and my lazy butt still drives. I would ride a bike but, too dangerous on the road but, I could walk but for whatever reason I don't because I don't want to be hot and sweaty.

I live just under 3 miles from work and I bike it there and back every day. This is the reason why I am not joining the rest of the US in turning into a gelatinous blob of lard by sitting in my gas guzzling SUV to travel few miles I could easily bike or walk. People rely far to heavily on their cars and need to get out of them. I saw someone drive from a hotel to an office ACROSS THE STREET once here in Miami!!!!

I live a mile from where I work and I still drive. It's not that I'm lazy (I work out every day) or don't care about the environment or anything, it's because my boyfriend and my parents wouldn't consider it safe and believe I would be kidnapped. Yeah, I'm very over-protected.
Forgot to mention something, I can break a sweat in just about any kind of weather and I work as a receptionist in a financial adviers' firm. I don't think people would appreciate having to deal with a smelly, sweaty co-worker all day.

WOW that would be awesome.. I think I'd bike........ No way would I drive... Maybe even walk... I would LOVE to live so close to work,,, I work 9 miles from my house and with traffic it takes 30+ minutes....

Drive. If the weather were really superb and it wasn't a busy road I might walk once in awhile but I'd be late a lot if I tried to do it more often than that.

I would drive because I wouldn't want to work up a sweat before work and my work clothes (office work) would not be very conducive to riding a bike.
