How do I report this kind of animal abuse???

Question

I live in a very illiterate town in South Texas with a population of about 200 people. These people are very "ill" in the head, they spit their "tabacca" all over the school hall ways ect. HERES THE PROBLEM: Since its such a small town, there are the usual, stray cats and dogs that roam around and DONT bother anyone ect. But these people take those poor animals to a back road and torture and kill them them bring their bodies back to the school to "show off" How do I turn these people in if the animals dont belong to them?? Is there anyway I can get some shelter to come pick up the 30 something dogs and take them to safety?? Im serious about this!! What should I do?? SERIOUS PEOPLE ONLY PLEASE!!

Being in such a small town, there likely isn't any type of animal control within a reasonable distance. If there is, I would start there. If not, call the police and report the abuse. It's federal law that they have to respond.

Well I am so sorry you have witnessed this. I myself live in Gonzales. Tx and we have about 7000 people and dogs are overly populated in this town also. I work with the shelters and you should contact your nearest shelter and also you can call the police and report the abuse and get the ones in trouble that do these things to the animals. Call animal control everytime you see a stray and if you can catch it and hold it untill Animal control comes the dog won't be in this situation anymore. You can ask the police to make you anonymus when you make a report also. Good luck and I am so Sorry you have had to witness this. You have a big heart. there are a few things you can do....

you can call animal cruelty, the human society etc.

if they are kids you could tell their parents because a good scare is always helpful

you could get a group together and let poeple know of the situation that is happening...more are always better than one and they you could approach the problem as a group and possibly get the police involved

best of luck...i am an environmentalist and nothing hurts more to hear people doing these kinds of things to defenseless animals

Try to find which Animal Cruelty department would service your town. Usually the biggest city nearby would or could direct you to your local one. What horrible people! Good luck in being the stray animals savior, I'm sure they appreciate it!!!!

You have an advantage, you have the Houston humane society that covers the entire state of texas call them and they can help you I promise. Or call the Houston animal control or aspca in houston. They are serious people and will come to your aide

the only people that would prabablypick them up is the nearest pound it my not be very human at the pound but it is better than the animals having to die at least that way the could try to be adopted

call the spca or animal control that is nearest you. as for the people the only thing i can suggest is calling a police department.

i would call someone like the police or animal shelter. they will definitely do everything to help espicially if you tell them that the animals are being hurt. They never want to see animals hurt.
