I cry at funerals, weddings, store openings, TV commercials, songs....
I need to figure out how to stop crying, not start.
You don't have to cry at a funeral; there's no reason to TRY to cry.

I do find it hard to cry at funerals, not b/c I am not sad but b/c I have a hard time expressing those emotions in front of others. Others find it odd that I don't and they are disturbed by it. I am not trying to be disrespectful or trying to act like I am not bothered, it is just the way I am. I have been to many funerals in the past 2 years including my father's and did not cry. I just can't, I have shed many tears in private. I just want to mourn in my own way as each person does. Just b/c you don't cry or show emotion like everyone else doesn't mean it isn't there.

Good God what kind of person finds it hard to cry at funerals, of course I only attend funerals of those who meant something to me. Now I don't blubber and go hysterical but I think that I'd be more curious as to know how do you keep from crying when you know you will never interact with this person again. At least here on earth.

I don't cry at funerals because most funerals I go to were the ones of people I didn't know that well, or people I didn't like.
Therefore, I find myself doing more laughing than crying.

It's hard for me to cry at sad things in general. I cry easily if someone yells at me but if something really sad happens I can't cry for some reason!

No, I can't stand funerals. I can't stop crying even if I wasn't that close. I get this great lump in my throat that just won't go away. I get all caught up in it. Just the thought of the family saying goodbye forever. Or the fact everybody at sometime or other will leave the earth and never being seen again!!! I hate it.........

It depends on how long I knew the person or how much time I spent with them or if I really liked them or how they died. If someone dies at 91 years old, I don't cry very much unless someone next to me is crying a lot. I somone died young, like my cousin did on Mt Rainier, then I cry more. Usually the speeches up at the microphone make everyone cry at sometime or the other, no need to try and think of something on purpose to cry at funerals. Unless you really hated the relative that died, but I don't hate any of mine yet. (^:

No. I'm very sentimental and I cry for everything and anything. I will cry for the dead person and I will cry anytime I see anyone else crying!! I try to avoid funerals!!

I'm the opposite. No matter who's funeral, I have to think of something to make me not cry! It's horrible sometimes.

I don't cry at funerals neither do I try to 'make' myself cry!
Some people have called me cold hearted but is not that I'm cold hearted is just that it takes a lot for me to cry... I have lost really close people in my life and I'm sure when someone in my immediate family dies i will cry but i try not to think about it..... Anyway, you should never MAKE yourself cry!
We all mourn in different ways
