It all depends on how the game is programmed. Some games will abort if you do not have all the files it's looking for. Others will allow you to continue without them. Honestly, if you want to see if it works, move the files that you are planning to delete to another folder, and run the game. If the game runs, then you should be fine. If not, move the files back where they were (and be sure to remember where you moved them from, lol)

Howzit!!

Have a friend who runs a super gaming machine with a 40GB hard disk. He is running low on some space and he deleted the videos(movies) and audio files from the Need for Speed:Carbon game...

Everything is going okay and he's about to complete the career mode for the fourth time.

Its only with compulsory files (like mission files, maps, etc) that is you delete then you will be screwed, but the other supporting files its not a problem. This also depends on the type of game... The guys from Electronic Arts(EA) understand gamers' minds while some upcoming companies assume all gamers are in possesion of super gaming machines...

It depends on the game and its not a problem in other games as I have mentioned...

All the best.
