I have a very good girlfriend that I enjoy very much and she treats me well, but she is emotionally unstable at times and she does things that are hurtful to herself emotionally. Also, she can be very unpleasant to other people but substantiates her feeling of herself on whether or not men love her or feign after her.

She just does not do anything to help herself, no matter what ideas I suggest or the therapist I recommended with absolute love when she seemed to be in extreme emotional agony.

Question is...Would you remain friends with this person? It's so frustrating to see her defeat herself over and over.

Well it sounds like she has problems, but I would still be her friend because when you are going through hardships, you always need a good friend there, just to listen, and show support, and by you remaining her friend, and motivating her, maybe she'll get her self together!! Don't give up on her, she needs you more than you may think!!

maybe you should sit her down and talk to her.
maybe she just needs some help and your the only person who can help her.
Or
she may need so help from a doctor.
You should consider her health and other people she may hurt in th future.
Maybe you should just have a girls day out and talk about life and how its going.. It helps alot..
