i know that almost all turtles carry Salmonella, but it only affects humans if it is injected through the mouth, for example, touching a turtle, then eating right away without washing yr hands. BUT** i wanted to know that if you touch a turtle, wash your hands with soap, THEN eat with yr hands, is that ok? or is just washing hands not good enough to clean Salmonella off???

and please just answer if you actually know the answer please/

Washing your hands iis all that is needed, but most rurtles do not have salmonella, that is a myth, they can carry, it but so can all animals, you can get it froma cat or dog just as easy as from a turtle, A few years ago there was a large outbrake of salmonella in turtle populations, this is why the myth started. What most people don't realise is that if a turtle has salmonella it will act sick, it will be sluggish, not eat much have a faded coler, and a fogged sick look to the eyes (or at least some of these symptoms).
