Better? Mm-mm. Who would be the judge? If you've never loved, how could you compare, beside guessing what it is like. But I think few people have never known any love of any sort , but that's' just a guess in itself. I doubt whether anyone would have been born without some form of love keeping them in existence, if not from the parents, then from fellow humans judging each others actions and threatening to, or actually rejecting or condemning the discontinuation of a life or not caring for it when among us. If talking in degrees, then to have loved, and not just have been on the receiving end, and to have loved dearly, and either have been rejected, or the object of ones love was lost somehow, would be both a blessing and a curse, but if only loved a little, no great loss and neither great gain.

Divide your life into time-units. Usually love helps you have good times. Those good times are yours forever. When the love is gone, you go find another. A wise person knows that life is full of change, and few things are permanent besides impermanence.
So finding any good thing in many ways guarantees that you'll lose it. Being saddened by this is completely missing the point. Enjoy what you have when you have it! Love makes you richer, even if some day you end up in the poor house!

Yes, better to have loved and lost. To experience passion one has to expect disappointments also. To never feel that first fire of love would be a tragedy To just go along ho-hum through life with each day being like the next safe one. No thank you.

MY 1000 POINT ANSWER :D
I believe that if you were to lose someone you loved it is better to never have loved them in the first place. It makes you feel awful but I suppose you never know when it is going to happen so love laugh cry and lose and then move on. Just my opinion!

Love is always lost. The only love you will ever find is, the Love for yourself. That's IF you do find it. A love from someone are like leaves on a tree, until the season changes.
Either way, LOVE exist only in a word. That is eternal LOVE. And THAT's my final answer....LOL

To have loved, since you can at least say that you have experienced it. Imagine being old, having never grasped the chance at love. Yeah, sad picture eh?

yes, I think so at least you have the feeling of knowing what loved felt like contrary to not ever the true meaning...the doing things for one another and making the sacrifices necessary toward having a fulfilled relationship

If you don't, then you will be in fear and won't feel the full joy of life. Although no one likes to get hurt, we must never give up and always perservere.

from my point of view i prefer to say "no"
it is better not to be in love with somebody than losing your loving one....coz it looks the same as to be rich and then you lose your money....no i prefer to stay ever poor.
the experience hurts....love itself is a wonderful thing...but complications of loss could be fatal.
I prefer "not to lose" whatsoever.
good luck
