If he is lucky maybe he'll be on somebody's bench in 2 or 3 years....he'll get a chance though because he is America's new "Golden Boy" it was Brady Quinn last year and J.J. Reddick the year before that. None of those bums have produced a championship.

First scoring 26 points is not crumpling. It is a team game. He and his father have stated many times he will stay in and get his education. He is still maturing and is a very solid performer. Also during the game his team stopped going to him when Georgetown had no answer for him. That has always been a problem at Carolina. Do not let a player score a great deal even when they are hot. Remember, Dean Smith held M. J. to under thirty many nights!

If he goes into the NBA this year, hes done. He should go back to UNC and take some time to develop his skills and watch his draft stock go up. He has the potential to be good, but if he goes out this year, he will be done. Hes also a bit overrated, because he plays for North Carolina. Just like how Brady Quinn is made out to be great, he really cant play well in pressure situations, or play well against decent teams. Hes only popular because he played for Notre Dame, just how Hansbrough is popular because he plays for North Carolina.

I will admit the only game I saw him play was against Michigan State, and he destroyed us. He is strong, but it looks like he lacks the vertical leaping ability and the lateral quickness to succeed in the NBA. Very strong, but he maybe the guy who maxed out his ability and doesn't have a lot of room to grow. Plus I don't know if he will be able to seperate to get his shot off over taller players which would be almost every NBA power forward. He is a sophmore, but a year older than most of his class I can't imagine he will stay after next year, and this is a great NBA draft I can't imagine he will make the same mistake "big baby" did.

he's truthfully coming up right into a stable all around basketball participant. And to the guy who mentioned he's purely too sluggish.... C'mon, i may be prepared to guess that he ought to outrun all and sundry else his length or larger interior the NCAA. Now a miracle.... on account that he's on the the excellent option group interior the country, there is not any longer something he can try this is talked approximately as a miracle. NBA, yeah, he won't be astounding, yet he's probably goin to bypass mid to late first around to a stable group and supply them some quite stable minutes coming off the bench as an incredible 6th guy.

If he is smart, he will work out in the off season in some of the NBA scouting camps, then return for his final year of college. By the way, I have always found him to be an overated player much the same as Christian Laetner.

He should go back to Chapel Hill another year. His stock will rise enormously then.
