its still a great battle going on but the games vs the teams your fighting against for that playoff spot you need to win does games and my Habs had a huge win over the Rangers last night and came out with the W. Islanders, Canes, TB lost last night so now the Habs are tied for 7th with 86 pts but are in 8th cause TB has more wins and the Habs are 2 pts ahead of Isl, Canes and Leafs. A FIGHT TILL THE END.

Buffalo, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Ottawa all have clinched spots.
The final 4 slots are still questionable, they currently belong to Tampa Bay, Atlanta, NY Rangers, and Montreal.
But Carolina, Toronto, and the Islanders are right behind them still

it is not uncommon for 3 communities from one branch to make the playoffs. The Cowboys, Giants and Redskins have been interior the playoffs final season. The Colts, Jags and Titans have been as properly.

if the Canes play decently, they may take the division lead. their schedule works for them there. they are only 4 points off...
Other answers have the current rankings right, just thought I'd point that out. Tampa and Atlanta do not have locks.
