Hi,
Unfortunately, wet-tail is a very serious disease, and it is very often fatal. Just keep his cage quiet and clean and warm so he is comfortable at least. Make sure he has plenty water at all times.
As I said, some hamsters live through wet-tail without treatment, but some die despite it. How old is your hamster? If he is over three years old you could consider putting him to sleep, but it sounds like he's very dehydrated as well and can sometimes be a reason why hamsters don't recover. You should try giving him some water to help with dehydration, if he is too badly gone then there is nothing you can do.
I am very sorry, but I hope he gets better.
Best wishes,
Jess.

p.s. If your hamster passes away or doesn't get better: you will need to completely clean his cage and toys, with anti bacterial small animal cage spray. change his bedding and his sawdust, to prevent reinfection.

best of luck!, please let me know what happens.

sounds like wet tail-aka sick hamster but if they were getting it on- I wouldn't worry to much but i would call a vet or a pet store where you bought the hamster from. be careful if you have a female and male =babies!!!! just from licking each other so find out which is which. Good luck!!!!

if you are sure your hamster has wet tail, i heard from someone that you could use "wet-tail oasis plus." someone answered my question on wet tail and told me i could use it. dont use dry-tail though, because it only masks the symptoms, it actually doesn't heal wet-tail. if you want to by the wet tail oasis plus, you can get it from Petsmart.
