Google "resume."
Spell EVERY single word correctly. Leave good numbers to call.
Use bullet-formatting.
Write large, like 12-14 pitch.
Include action words, like "wrote" "filed" "developed curriculum" "danced naked", not got, did, went over, had
Explain 24 ece. Don't use any abbreviations except states, like OK, AZ, NM.
Don't lie.

Make sure to list all of your job experience, school experience and related activities. Don't list that you are a jet-skier if you are looking for a teaching job. When I was hiring people, I generally quit reading by the end of the first page, unless I already found some items that made me think they would be a good fit for the job.

Go to Monster.Com. They have a template you can use. You just fill in the blanks and it creates a resume for you in Microsoft word. I have had the best results with this system. Its really simple and easy to use!
