Why did I get caught getting change in a laundry mat, but not for use in there?? Out of all the times, I got caught. . .so is it really illegal to do that?? Where can I get change legally without going to the long lines in the bank??

There is no law that says you can't do that. It's down to rules imposed by the laundromat owners. They cannot take legal action against you.

Is the laundromat open to the public? Is there a change machine that says, "Change"? Is there any sign that says you can't go in there to use the change machine unless you're there to do laundry?

And if you got caught, so what? Are you charged with trespassing? Because if so, you'd have to be warned to leave first, then come back to get charged, right?

Worse comes to worse, go to an arcade that takes quarters and ask for change.

Car washes usually have change machines and no attendant on duty, so you can get change there without any hassle.

Me! I have at least twenty dollars worth of change in my car console at all times. It just seems to accumlate. I don't like carrying it in my pocket. So it ends up in the console.
